A new approach to help businesses reduce the cost
of staff absence caused by ill health.

Nearly one in ten Kent companies have to recruit extra people to cover staff absence through illness, according to a recent survey carried out by three local companies.

78% of companies report that absence through illness puts significant pressure on other staff, with a further 7% commenting that it has an adverse effect on staff morale. For 2%, the issues cause serious conflict in the workplace, yet only half of companies surveyed have a strategy for managing staff sickness with the minority actively supporting staff to stay healthy.
